Evans is a former Newi Cefn Druids player, who made 31 appearances, 25 as substitute, for the club in the Welsh Premier League during the 2003–04 season. He joined Wrexham in 2004 and signed a professional contract in summer 2006, after initially being told that the club could not afford to give him one.
He broke into the first-team in the 2006–07 season, making 14 league and cup appearances. Manager Denis Smith praised Evans and fellow centre-back, Mike Williams, after a 1–0 win over Darlington in December 2006, saying, "It's possibly the youngest centre-back pairing the club's ever put out and I think they did tremendously well. I'm delighted with the way they played and I think the lads applied themselves well in difficult circumstances." Evans signed a new two-year contract in May 2007.
Evans was loaned to Northwich Victoria and Tamworth during the 2007–08 season but also made another 14 league and cup appearances for Wrexham as the club unsuccessfully battled against relegation from the Football League.
Evans left Wrexham in January 2009 to continue his footballing career in the United States, and joined USL First Division club Austin Aztex in February 2009. He was released by the Aztex at the end of the 2009 season.
After a brief stint back home with Conference North side Vauxhall Motors in late 2009, Evans signed with USL Second Division side Real Maryland Monarchs in 2010.
In October 2010 Evans joined Chester until March 2011, when he returned to the United States to play for Los Angeles Blues in the USL Professional League. He made his debut for Chester on 9 October as a 76th minute substitute against Harrogate Railway Athletic.
Upon returning to the United States in spring 2011, Evans trained with LA Blues, with whom he had signed a contract, but did not remain with the club. On 5 April 2011 he signed with Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL Pro. At season's end he joined Carolina RailHawks FC for the remainder of the 2011 North American Soccer League season. Evans re-signed with Wilmington for 2012 on 5 December 2011.
How did you come to play with the Hammerheads?
I came to play for Hammerheads from LA Blues. I had signed with them when they first came into the league but I didn't enjoy it there and luckily for me coach brought me in just before the start of last season.
Are you superstitious? Do you have any pre-match rituals?
Nothing too crazy for superstitions. I feel like the older I get the less I believe in that stuff. I just tend to do the usual stuff like put my right shin guard on then left and then right sock, left sock etc.!
Tell us some interesting (or fun) things about your hometown.
Ha ha well there's not THAT much interesting to tell. It's a pretty small town in North Wales. Has lots of castles and farms and not too much excitement! The current QPR manager Mark Hughes is probably the most famous person from there!
Nico mentioned you really liked Hibachi Bistro. What's your favorite thing to eat there?
I love Hibachi Bistro, I wish they would sponsor me so I could get some free meals, it would save me a lot of money haha. My favorite meal there is dark meat teriyaki chicken with boiled rice and plenty of the white sauce they have!
What was your favorite soccer team growing up? How about now?
I always had two favorite teams. My 1st was my hometown team Wrexham and Manchester United also. Wrexham have always been a lower league team but as they were my hometown team I always went to watch them as I couldn't afford to go to Manchester United games. I still support both to this day.
If you could only watch three movies for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Tough question, I think it would be Wedding Crashers, Shooter and a really good Denzel Washington movie probably either Training Day or Man On Fire!
Tell us a memorable moment in your soccer career.
Most memorable moment for me would probably have been my first appearance for Wrexham against Liverpool in a pre season friendly an then my actual competitive debut which was against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in the cup which we won 4-1!
What do you like most about Wilmington?
I love the weather, the beach, the people and of course the Hammerheads haha!
Who is the best FIFA12 player on the Hammerheads?
Last year it was without question myself even though Jyler would try to disagree. This year I would like to think its still myself but I am yet to play a lot of the new guys. Bryce talks a big game but I've heard from others he's awful, just like his haircut!
